Penny Warden

Penny paints her images with a maximum of spontaneity and energetic expression. The sense of movement and vibrancy, which is Penny’s trademark, is especially evident in her figurative oil paintings. As well as her gallery work which is increasingly sought after, Penny is now well known for her spiritual paintings. In March 2005 Penny launched "a major project of national significance" in Blackburn Cathedral, Lancashire, England. This consists of the permanent display of 15 6ft paintings. With accolades from Desmond Tutu “wonderfully creative” and sponsored by Blackburn Rovers FC this “extraordinary exhibition will be seen by generations to come.” Recently Penny has been commissioned by Trinity Hospice Blackpool for eight 6ft oil paintings for their chapel. Penny has been interviewed several times for BBC radio and filmed for a worldwide satellite television broadcast; she has featured in a number of national magazines and publications; she has had her work used by Cambridge University she has exhibited and spoken about her work at Oxford University.
